Layers, Portugal is a yearly event organized by the Friends of Figma, Portugal chapter of the official Figma communities.

It's a free, full day, hybrid conference with talks from a mix of members of the Community and some guests.

Layers will take place during September 20 2024.

The event will run from 9:15am to 6:00pm, Lisbon time.

Doors will open 8:00am for those attending in-person.

Stream for track 1 will open at 9:00am, while the stream for track 2 will open at 11:00am.

On this website you can find a Register Now button always available in the top navigation (on desktops) and inside our menu popup (on mobile). You can also find multiple buttons and links across the website that take you to registration page.

Layers is a hybrid conference so it will take place in one of 2 ways:

1. In-Person at the IDB Lisbon building, near Parque das Nações;
2. Online on our YouTube

The IDB Lisbon is located at:

IDB Lisbon has a few different entrances but your should enter though their main entrance, also known as Entrance A.

You can easily spot the letter A above the door frame when arriving.

IDB Lisbon is located near Parque da Nações and it's a great place to arrive by car, subway, train or bus.

🚗 By car:

If you're arriving by car you can use this gps link to fins your way to IDB Lisbon;

• There is no parking in the building for attendees but there are multiple options to park like:
  • The paid parking spots just outside the building in the Av. Dr. Francisco Luís Gomes;
  • The parking areas in the building nearby right across the street;
  • The underground parks near Estação do Oriente, about 15 min. walk from the venue, or a quick bus ride.

🚇 By subway:

Travel to the red line and exit at the Moscavide stop, about 5 min. walk from the venue.

🚅 By train:

Travel to the Estação do Oriente, about 15 min. walk from the venue, or a quick bus ride on line 728, or catch the subway to the Moscavide stop (1 stop away).

Yes. All talks will be streamed.

The conference will be streamed on our YouTube and you can make sure you don't miss them by registering for our online track.

All talk recordings should be released by September 27 on our YouTube.

If you're registered to attend the conference you'll be notified by email, but we'll also share the information on all our socials, and our Slack channel.

Even though the team tried to provide it, unfortunately this year Layers won't be providing any meals.

There are several options for both lunch and breaks.

☕️ If you want to grab a nice coffee when you arrive or during the morning break, Little Dede is available right at the entrance of IDBLisbon (open from 9am to 4pm).

‍

🚚 Starting 12pm, Dede's Food truck is available at the IDB Rooftop for those looking for a great quick meal under the shade.

🍝 If you're looking for a spot outside IDB to go and stretch your legs, or just because the line at Dede's is too long, there are several great options around the block:

• There are multiple restaurants in the Moscavide neighbourhood just a few minutes away.
• If you're up to a bigger walk, or a quick rideshare trip to the FIL area, you have many great options by the riverside.
• Looking for something fast and cheap, you can take a quick 15 min. walk to the Vasco da Gama mall for any of their fast food options.

You can order in, but you can't eat in the rooftop due to IDB rules.

We'll keep the conference room open for anyone looking into this option for lunch time.
